So what in the world (see what we did there?) is a virtual race?

It’s a race (or challenge) done on your schedule, at your pace. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow.

Walk it, run it, bike it, rollerblade it (or all the above). Do it in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, on vacation, take a hike, or hit the track.

Do it alone, do it with your kids, do it with your besties, and/or do it with the dog.
Just do 4.77 miles a day (anyway you want) and upload your daily progress on our website as you go.

We’ll give you all the support, accountability, and motivation to get it done.

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…

1. Register

Just a few clicks and you’ll be a registered member of our team. Then, you can download your customizable race bib and meet the rest of our Mooners in your private Facebook group (where you’ll find new besties, loads of support, and lots of bad jokes).

2. Train

Our free, bonus 10-minute NO IMPACT workout videos will complement your training perfectly, and strengthen your upper body, core, and bootie! Depending on your fitness level and stamina, you may also want to increase your daily steps so you’re ready for our 15-day challenge!

3. Race/Challenge

Our journey to the moon and back starts on Aug 7 and continues 15 days, until the much-anticipated total solar eclipse on Aug 21. Do your daily 4.77 miles on a treadmill, a bike, at the beach, at the track, on the trails, on vacation, or around your cul-de-sac. Your race, your rules.

4. Brag

Bask in your glory, you totally deserve it. Upload your daily mileage on our website and tell us how you feel! Miss a day or two? No worries, make it up whenever you can. Your medal will arrive just before the solar eclipse, so you’ll be able to show it off at your viewing parties!

Get Fit. Have Fun. Save Lives.

We’ll love you to the Moon & Back

When you join our exclusive Facebook group, you’re getting more than just a virtual running club

SUPPORTIVE

Everyone is welcome and no one is left behind. Rely on our community to motivate you on your down days.

SASSY

Lame jokes and shenanigans abound. Our Chat Club is filled with love, laughs, and a bunch of sass!

STRONG

Our exclusive cross-training workout videos are the perfect way to gain strength and tone muscles… in less than 10 mins a day!

Your race, your reasons

Do it to get in shape. Or for some quality gab time. Do it for the accountability. Do it so your family can see how fun fitness can be. Do it for the medal. Do it for the free cross-training videos.

Do it for the cause. You decide why. You decide how. We’ll make sure you get rewarded.

What is a virtual race?

Our virtual race challenges can be done anytime and anywhere. You can run, walk, bike, swim, or crawl to the finish line. You earn a custom cool medal, and we are able to donate $10 to the American Cancer Society.

How does a virtual race work?

Register for our event, complete the distance anytime and anywhere you desire (even on a treadmill!), and upload your finish time to our website. We will send your beautiful bling on the official “race day”.

Do I have to complete the entire distance all at once?

Your race, your rules! Many of our events are designed to be one day challenges, but if you want to spread the mileage out over a few days, that’s cool with us. Or do some in the morning and some in the evening!

Some of our multi-day challenges involve shorter miles for extended periods of time, but if you miss a day or two, that’s fine. Make up the miles whenever you want.

How do I track my mileage?

Track your distance (and time, if you’d like) using your favorite app, Fitbit, or GPS device. Then share your triumph on our website (feel free to upload a daily selfie, too!).

What if I can’t complete my miles during the race period?

No biggie! We ship medals to all registrants. Depending on the event, we’ll send them a few days in advance of “race day” or on the actual “race day”. Feel free to submit your results and finish line photo whenever you complete your race.
